CURRENT SOCIAL PROJECT

This grassroots social project started last year in October when we realised that the refugee children living in Langkawi Island are not getting any proper education. It felt like this community was left behind or forgotten.

More than 250 families who fled Myanmar due to the crisis live on the island now and the learning centre currently has 35 Rohingya children from the ages of 5 to 12 years old.

ABOUT ME

I learn a tough lesson of not controlling everything in life and letting go was the hardest fulfilling experience I’ve had.

Somehow through some unknown months, in late 2012, feeling depressed, with only time on my side and some close friends, my childhood passion for photography slowly returned.

I remember a trip we took to Penang, the annual marathon. Since then…

I kept doing it, escaping into the images and their stories, I felt a little more at peace with how things were.

It reminded me of the first film camera I’ve owned when I was 19 and when I was free to just create, by myself and explore places.
